Home of the RePEc Input Service
Purpose
This service provides the opportunity for institutions to participate in RePEc even if they are unable to provide metadata about their publications in the standard way, that is by opening a RePEc archive. This service is meant to be a last resort. This service only hosts the metadata about the indexed working papers, journal articles, books, book chapters and software components, not their full texts. This service is not for individual authors, who should use MPRA.

Registering for the RePEc Input Service
To participate, please send the following information to us, along with the reason you cannot use the standard method of indexing your publications. Be aware, that unlike the standard method where you can batch load your metadata, on the RePEc Input Service you are indexing every item individually through online forms. This is laborious and you are restricted to what the online forms offer.
- The name of the series, e.g. "Research Papers", "Economic Discussion Papers", or the journal.
- The organization responsible for the series (commercial or academic publisher, research institute, policy institution, etc.)
- The person responsible for the content of the series (editor). Name and e-mail address. Not a required entry.
- The person responsible for the administration and data input of the series). Name and e-mail address.
- Your archive handle, if you were given one by RePEc.
Note that the RePEc Input Service can now accomodate a RePEc archive that was previously independently hosted. This may entail some data loss.
If approved, you will be assigned a RePEc series handle and a password and can then start indexing your publication. Additions are typically listed within the next day or two in the various RePEc services.
Using the RePEc Input Service
Please report any malfunction with as much detail as possible, as the software was completely rewritten in June 2025.
The login process has changed in June 2025. Beyond your password, you now need the RePEc handle of your serial. If you do not know it, find it in the description of your serial on IDEAS or in your monthly email from RePEc. A new, second step is to enter a code you received in your email after the first step. That assumes the correct email address is associated with your serial. In case of problems, contact us.
